How to Choose Junk Removal for Small Loads in Spring Hill, FL

The right choice for a small load in Spring Hill depends on what you have and how fast you need it gone. County bulk pickup and the West Hernando Convenience Center cost little or nothing extra, and Gone Fast Hauling is a paid option that takes small loads with no minimums, starting at $40 for a TV on a route day.

What counts as a small load

A small load is a few big items or a small pile: a couch, a mattress, an old TV, a washer, or what is left in a garage, patio, porch or spare bedroom. If it fits in one trip with a small truck or trailer, it is probably a small load. A whole-house cleanout is a different job.

Start with the county options

If you have Coastal Waste curbside service in unincorporated Hernando County, bulk collections are included: six a year, up to 10 items each. Call (352) 540-6457. Pickup is within seven business days, and items go out no earlier than 6 p.m. the night before. Coastal cannot take items with Freon, gasoline, propane or other flammable or hazardous waste, such as refrigerators, freezers and lawn mowers.

You can also drive it yourself to the West Hernando Convenience Center, 2525 Osowaw Blvd., Spring Hill. It is open Tuesday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, and Saturday, 8 AM to 4 PM. It is closed Sunday and Monday. It is for residents only, so bring proof of residency. Bulk loads including furniture are $15 per visit. Staff do not unload for you, and it is one trip a day.

Questions to ask any hauler

Before you book anyone, ask a few plain questions. Is there a minimum charge? Is the price set from a photo, or can it change when they arrive? Does curbside cost less than inside pickup? What will they not take? Do you need to be home?

Ask these because pricing varies. Some junk removal companies send a large truck and a crew for a single job and set a minimum charge, even for one couch; ask before you book. That makes sense for a big job. For one or two items, a small-load option is worth a call too.

How Gone Fast Hauling does it

I'm Ryan, I run Gone Fast Hauling here in Weeki Wachee. Small loads are our sweet spot, with no minimums. I haul couches, mattresses, appliances, TVs, yard debris, small junk piles and garage cleanouts. I do not do full household moves or demolition.

Text a photo to (352) 340-3126. I reply with a price, you confirm, and I pick it up. Route prices start at $40 to $75 for most items: TV $40, small junk pile $45, mattress $55, couch $65, appliance $70. Route pickups cost less than a one-off trip. Inside pickups, heavy items and rush jobs may cost more. 2

Routes rotate through Weeki Wachee, Spring Hill, Timber Pines, Seven Hills, Sterling Hill, Glen Lakes and Royal Highlands. Same-day pickup is sometimes available - text to ask.
